Details

Stasis is a uniquely crafted floor lamp, made from two slabs cut and interlocked swirled walnut. Joined together using precision tension slots and 3D printed PETG joint, finished with a natural wax and oil. Standing at 69” with a base at  22” x 30” , the arched form uses an adjustable cord tension that feeds through the main body and 36” arm to a 13” diameter hanging lamp.

Creation Process

From fallen tree to finished piece, this lamp showcases the journey of transformation. The reclaimed walnut was first milled and planed to thickness, then carefully stabilized at natural crack points. Through strategic lamination, the wood took shape with minimal material waste. The lamp's electronics were deliberately incorporated into the design, with wiring pathways planned to work in harmony with the wooden structure.
